I don’t know if I can wait
September 1, 2010
This morning when I gave Echo her morning love/rub I felt a lump. It’s hard and about an inch circle, it doesn’t hurt her when I press on it. Scott said to wait a couple days and we’ll see if it goes away.
I’m worried and not sure I can wait…

I still don’t know why, ok…
So Scott was at work and had a pen in his pocket and it leaked, RED ink. So this is how I got the ink out. don’t ask, I don’t know. The dumber thing was that I then took the shirt to the dry cleaners and luckily Scott picked up the order and had to try to explain what happened. I think I had a senior moment, nooooooo!

okay so this is Scott’s goofy way. I think it’s safe to say that all the Petersen’s love freezer jam and there is nothing else that compares to it especially when Scott’s mom makes it. We went to the farmer’s market a couple of weeks ago and bought a jar of this jam and it was GOOD! Like really good! So Scott was all worried they would sell out of it so he was literally under the table going through the boxes to find all they had so we could buy it. That’s how we are, we get on tangents with food and eat the same thing until we are tired of it and then move on. PBJ’s are delish though! notice we did change it up a bit and got a strawberry jam.

how could I pass up this little onsie…exciting!

our trip downtown
August 30, 2010
Last week I’d mentioned to Scott that I was going to Chicago really early in the morning to see the Tall Ships that are at Navy Pier because I wanted some neat pictures. He said let’s just stay the night on Friday and go Saturday morning, that was plan.

what a great experience for this kid, downtown in the middle of Millennium Park they set up a piano recital. He was awesome!

I love the lines and curves and the red.

Scott hanging out why I do my thing, he’s such a trooper.

we all enjoy the city differently. I wish I wasn’t so paranoid that I could relax and take a snooze.

funny story. We were walking down the street and came upon this big group of people with their camera’s pointed up to take a picture of this building. So of course I needed a picture of this important building, but I kinda wanted to find out what all the hub bub was. In the meantime I was asked by a guy what are you taking a picture of. I felt kinda silly and was like, um I don’t know, there was so many people I figured it must be important. We laughed and he went on his way, then I asked a girl that was part of the group, “what’s so neat about this building?” she said, “I don’t know”. haha it was funny at the time. The group was on a walking architecture tour but she missed the explanation of this building.

water and kids, what more is there to say, fun fun!

I love this picture!

yeah, it’s Saturday morning 6:30 a.m.

and not what I thought it would be like.

;

I envisioned the sail boats with their sails up and sailing around as the beautiful sun rose up. They were tied up and we were not allowed close to them.

it was fun and pretty to be out that early without all the people

but I started to get bored so I broke out my Lensbaby, it’s a real challenge to use but I love the look!

I love this one

you could take a ride on the sail boats but tickets were sold out.

my visit with the Beck’s

{part one}
what a fun time I had with Courtney, Justin, and their little Ruca!
Courtney serves in the YW program and they had a virtue hike planned, mom’s/mentor’s of the girls were invited so I joined the group. It was a lot of fun to be around the young girls and be reminded of how important it is that we stand for virtue. Courtney was assigned to take photo’s (surprise I know).

At the top of the hike the girls signed the virtue flag showing their commitment to being virtuous yw and then they wrote a promise on the balloon.

after the hike clean up. one of my favorite pictures of the trip. you might ask why so I’ll tell ya.
Lot’s of time was spent with Courtney in the bathroom as we would get ready for the day. I’m a morning person so I’d chat and she’d get bugged but the next morning she’d be in with me. Court remember the rat rat rat. That’s her bumping her hair and it was always down in threes. oh the good times!

it wouldn’t have been normal if we didn’t find an antique store to check out. this one was huugggeee! but we did come away with nothing. wahoo!

but I am kicking myself for not buying this fancy scarf

took a ride to Charlotte, which is 30 minutes away. I learned they live 30 minutes away from everything, haha. The main reason we went was to visit the Canine Cafe. It’s a fancy dog store/bakery, needless to say Ruca scored some yummy treats. We enjoyed the art district in the area.

I’m always amazed at art and mediums people use to express their ideas. amazing!!!

yes! the farmer’s market! or I think of it as a food art display. I love the fresh produce but I always want to take pictures of it.

the bird picture in the middle was bought buy me. We spent about an hour talking to the artist, James Norman.

this was the neatest farmer’s market I’ve ever been to.

this was the arts building. where’s the people? Time’s have changed!

the Beck’s

in case you can’t tell, Ruca is loved, a lot!

Ruca’s new toy that’s almost as big and fluffy as her.

yes, fresh air and light! I’ve complained about the bad lighting in our apartment but it’s not near as bad as Courtney’s.

Ruca’s favorite spot is perched up in your arms

oh the cute face of Ruca

this makes me smile … big.

my fave!
