while this may look like just another trip to the Morton Arboretum on a beautiful spring day it was so much more than that for me. Scott finally felt up to walking around with me so I took advantage of this good day and we walked places we had never been. It’s interesting how going through trials really makes me appreciate every moment we have together!
“Cultivate an attitude of happiness. Cultivate a spirit of optimism. Walk with faith, rejoicing in the beauties of nature, in the goodness of those you love, in the testimony which you carry in your heart concerning things divine.”
–Gordon B. Hinckley

I chose a Sunday to show you how exciting we are…after three hours of church it’s time to put the feet up and relax with a book or toy

I recently bought this mega blender smoothie maker and I love it! I feel like I could open Jackie’s Jamba Juice

but from the looks of this face I better improve my recipe. I’ve been waiting for him to taste one and this was his reaction…he can’t stand the texture!

and I don’t like the texture of his mac-n-cheese, which has been his main meal for way too long. Taste buds please come back soon!

at the first of the year I started a knitting project called the sky scarf. almost every day I take a picture with my phone of the sky and then I knit a row using the colors in the sky. I’ll do this for the year and then I will have a unique scarf. I love this because there is no pressure to hurry and finish it and my fingers love to knit every day!

my soon to be bunny, some days one row isn’t enough knitting.

speaking of a bunny…hop on over to see what’s happening in Sarah’s life.
I hesitated participating this time because we are in the hospital all week long for IL2 treatment. but…it’s my life, it’s my story, our story, and everything is going to be alright!
The route I take to avoid the crazy freeway traffic to the hospital is lined on both sides with cemeteries, funny?! I can’t say there is any eatery I’d like to try out but I do like the look of aged buildings.

two benefits from being in MICU is he has his own room and has had great nurses! my one pet peeve is that they leave caps on the floor all. the. time.

good morning Honey, time to get cleaned up!

and rest. some more.

next in the circle is Kristi. Hope you enjoy our 10 on 10 projects!
I just happen to be visiting the Beck’s this week so I couldn’t pass up a chance to show off this sweet little grandbaby of ours. She’s about 14 weeks old already and is so fun. She is reaching for things, smiling at me, loves to cuddle, coo’s and slobbers.

the first two are the Beck kids…mom saying goodbye before work…a little bit of Christmas still hanging around…the mobile Courtney made that I love…Ruca melts my hurt too, can’t resist those eyes…the valentine beard…bumbo toes…and the cute tongue.

be sure to check out what Lisa has been up to!
I love this project. Simply documenting a day of life.

but she needs to get pretty first

just a little festive for a minute

she knows papa will share a bite of lunch.

I’ve been making a little something for someone

and she hangs out while I work on the project…what a day

head on over to Celeste’s now…
so what is the 10 on 10 project?

I’m excited about this project! hope you enjoy our 10′s.
Scott and I were able to visit Miss Juliet Lynn for her special blessing day. She has gained about two pounds since I saw her last but she is still tiny and so precious.

working on the first layer of her outfit…

finally ready to go to church…

Courtney bought her outfit from several different people and it all came together just perfect.

the Beck’s
and more Beck’s.

Grandpa Pete and the girls…

alone time…

Juliet had enough attention so she got a little fussy. Justin told Courtney to put her finger in Juliet’s mouth, so she did. Her reaction was hilarious.
